Two Way Communication Medical Alert Systems (Monitoring Service)
When the wristband or pendant monitoring device is worn, it passively detects abnormal events and behaviors displayed by the wearer, in order to forewarn family members and medical personnel of any possible incident or decline.
Behaviors include sleep disturbances, late wake-up times, periods of inactivity or lack of motion, location (limited to indoor only), and time spent outside the home. After picking up abnormalities in behaviors, the device sends real-time alerts to pre-selected caregivers in a 24/7 medical help center, allowing them to respond to any emergency necessary or to just further monitor the situation, ensuring safety and wellness of the consumer. The monitoring center takes action on every call, so if the device button is pressed but the patient can’t speak, an ambulance or caregiver will be alerted, and will respond accordingly.
This Base Station uses machine learning algorithms within its monitoring services to track and detect current subscriber activity, sleep, and compliance (wear) status, and to predict future ones. This allows caregivers to be proactive in care and eliminate more medical emergencies. Monthly wellness reports can be generated for the designated caregivers or family members.

Setting up everything once the package is delivered is easy and it takes less than 10 minutes.
Whole system comes in a neat package which includes:
Base station and a power cord
Phone cord to connect the base station to a landline
Wristband or necklace pendant button as well as instructions manual.
You should place the base station in the central room of the house where user will be spending most of the time. This is usually the living room. You should keep in mind that in case of emergency, the first contact will be made through the base station’s speakerphone.
The base station should be plugged into a standard power outlet which is always powered (you should avoid outlets controlled by switches, timers etc). Base station uses a phone line to communicate with QMedic so you need to connect it, using the supplied phone cord, to the wall jack. There is a port on the base station labeled “Wall”. You should make sure that the line runs directly from the wall jack to the base station for proper functionality. If you have a phone which you want to connect to the wall jack but that wall jack is already being used by the base station, you can do so by connecting it to the “phone” port found on the base station.
Once everything is setup, press the help button on the wearable device to place a test call to the emergency call center.
When it comes to the range of the wearable help button, it varies from 800 to 1,000 feet in clear space. You should test the range of the system when you get it to make sure it covers all of the house and its immediate surroundings (such as porch, yard, garage, etc).
Caregivers are usually loved ones and family and they can take advantage of the more advanced features QMedic provides. If you are a caregiver, you should sign up for automatic alerts and wellness reports. These alerts are sent out via text messages or emails. If not set up initially when the system is purchased, these features can be activated via customer support. These alerts are useful to keep an eye on your loved ones and prevent emergencies. You also get a piece of mind in knowing for example when your father is up and moving around the house in the morning or if he has been out of the house and when he came home. Also there is an alert for whether he is wearing the device. These alerts can be customized based on the settings you choose.
The wristband/pendant itself is waterproof so there is no worry when doing the dishes, cooking or taking a bath. The materials used for pendant are plastic and rubber. The button features standard watch pins, so it is possible to attach a different band to it. This can make it more comfortable for the person wearing it.
