Product Description

The solar controller is called a solar charge/discharge controller, which is an automatic control device used in solar power generation systems to control the charging of batteries by multiple solar arrays as well as the power supply from batteries to solar inverter loads. It regulates and controls the charging and discharging conditions of the battery, and controls the power output of the solar cell module and the battery to the load according to the load power demand, which is the core control part of the whole photovoltaic power supply system.

Principle of solar controller

Solar panel belongs to photovoltaic equipment (mainly semiconductor material), which generates electric current through photoelectric effect after light irradiation. Due to the properties and limitations of materials and light, the generated current is also a fluctuating curve. If the generated current is directly charged to the battery or directly to the load power supply, it is easy to cause damage to the battery and load, seriously reducing their life.

Therefore, we must first send the current into the solar controller, using a series of special chip circuits to digitally regulate it, and add multi-stage charging and discharging protection, and at the same time, use our unique control technology “adaptive three-stage charging mode”, to ensure that the battery and the load’s operational safety and service life. When supplying power to the load, the current from the battery flows into the solar controller first, and then the current is sent to the load after it is regulated. The purpose of this is: first, to stabilize the discharge current; secondly, to ensure that the battery is not over-discharged; thirdly, a series of monitoring and protection of the load and battery.

Characteristics of solar energy controller

1. Input power limit protection

When the power of the battery board is greater than the rated power, the controller will limit the power of the battery board within the rated power to prevent the current from being too large to damage the controller, and the controller will enter the current charging limit.

2. Battery reverse connection protection

The system will not work after the battery is turned on inversely, and the controller will not be burned.

3. Photovoltaic input voltage overvoltage protection

The controller will automatically turn off the PV input if the voltage at the PV array input is too high.

4. PV input short circuit protection

The controller will disconnect the charging after the PV array input is short-circuited, and the charging will automatically resume when the short-circuit condition is cleared.

5. PV input reverse connection protection

When the polarity of the PV array is reversed, the controller will not be damaged and will continue to work normally after correcting the wiring error.

6.Load over power protection

When the load exceeds the rated power, the load will delay protecting the output.

7. Anti-reverse load protection at night

Prevent the battery from discharging through the battery plate at night.
